ATTENTION RIVER ANGLERS
The Committee would like to inform all members, that fishing has been suspended on the Cuttlebrook stretch of the River Trent for the coming season 2024. The land owner has decided due to personal reasons he will not be allowing fishing on the stretch this year. The Cuttlebrook Cup will still take place, as this has tickets sold in advance and it is named after the stretch of river. However unfortunately our members will not be allowed to fish at all outside of this competition. The land owner has told us to contact him after Christmas to see if there is any change and to discuss the 2025/2026 season. The committee are in negotiations for another stretch of the river Trent to try and soften the blow, unfortunately we cannot tell the members where it is yet, as we are still in negotiations and it is not finalised.

Kingstanding Pools
There will be some disruption and noise around the top and middle pools and some pegs will be closed on the dam wall between top and middle pools over the coming months, as ground works are required that could not be done during the bad weather this winter, we apologise for the inconvenience. Bringing Memberships into line 2025
I have now had time to work out the correct figures for the monthly membership fees, please see below, These will be taken in one payment when you renew. In January 2025 you will have 2 months leeway to renew between Jan 1st to the last day of February 2025.
Will all members please renew in their renewal month, not before, as the system of reduced payments will not work. Please heck your spam folders for the renewal reminder emails Thanks.
Adults will be charged £8 per month from their renew date to end of December 2024.
OAP’s will be charged £5 per month from their renew date to end of December 2024
It will automatically change on your renewal.
*MEMBERSHIPS*
All new members please read the general club rules on the website before starting to fish, but also visit the water page that you want to fish and read the write up as there may be more specific water rules on that page, also read the local water rules which are on notice boards at the venues.
If you are an existing Night permit Member please email in to secretary@burtonmutual.co.uk with the title “existing night permit” and you will get priority for the coming season, (I will check against the list). If you would like a Branston Night permit please email in to the same address with the title “New night Permit” and your name and membership number, and if any permit holders drop out, a random draw will be held to fill the available spaces, I will inform you if you are successful or not.
Would members fishing the Dove at Marston lane please use the river bank as access to the river and not walk along the side or through the crop fields to short cut to the river, the land owner is getting angry and will lock off the car park if it carries on.
